Overview
When children reach school-age — three-years-old to young adulthood — they may be eligible for Advocates ABA Home and Community Services. Our supplemental educational and consultative services are based on the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA).
Advocates partners with families, school and daycare staff, and other involved community members to develop goals and create individualized treatment plans. Each child is assessed individually and each treatment plan is geared toward the child’s needs. Services occur in the child’s home, school, or community.
When these vital services are delivered in the home, they can serve as an alternative for families who are contemplating residential placement. When delivered at school, our consultative services can help address a variety of needs and facilitate the child’s inclusion and participation in the classroom.
Our Services
ABA Home and Community services include:
- Assessment – developmental, educational, and functional behavioral evaluations that assess a child’s capabilities and result in specific recommendations for treatment planning
- Clinical Design – individualized development of objectives and teaching strategies
- Education – instruction provided directly to the child across a variety of curricular domains
- Clinical Consultation – availability of a clinician to support families, school or daycare staff, and other team members
Funding
Funding for ABA Home and Community Services is provided through the local school district, family insurance plans, or programs funded by the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) and the Department of Developmental Services (DDS). Most major health insurance plans accepted, including MassHealth.
