Sydney earned her Bachelor’s degree in Law from Suffolk University and later obtained a Master of Science in Criminal Justice and Criminology from Northeastern University. During her academic journey, Sydney worked as an intake coordinator for the WCAC in Worcester, where she managed and placed high-risk youth in summer job placement programs. She also interned as a family law paralegal with the Volunteer Lawyer’s Project, assisting families through the legal system. After completing her studies, Sydney worked as a counselor at MCI-Framingham and MCI-Walpole, before being promoted to Clinical Director at the House of Corrections, in partnership with Spectrum Health Systems, Inc. In this position, she launched an anti-recidivism program aimed at reducing re-incarceration. Currently, Sydney serves as the JDP co-response clinician for the Natick Police Department.
