Advocates Jail Diversion team is in the midst of developing an exciting new tool. With a grant from the MetroWest Health Foundation, we are creating an operations manual that will serve a dual purpose: to facilitate new clinician training, and to help replicate our successful model in other communities.

Advocates currently operates three Jail Diversion programs in partnership with police departments in Framingham, Marlborough, and Watertown. The Advocates Jail Diversion model has been widely recognized as an effective vehicle for diverting at-risk individuals from the criminal justice system to the support and treatment they need to live successfully in the community. The new operations manual will outline best practices to help interested communities develop their own jail diversion programs.
