Assistant Clerk

Dennis Millner-Hanley spent thirty years working for the Commonwealth, initially as assistant to the secretary of the Executive Office of Environmental Affairs before becoming regional director of finance and administration for the Departments of Mental Health and Developmental Services in 1983 and, ultimately, Deputy Assistant Commissioner for the Department of Developmental Services. His responsibilities included development of policies and procedures for $1 billion in services purchased annually by the Department from private service providers.

Dennis earned an undergraduate degree in psychology from Williams College and then went on to Cornell University’s Graduate School of Public Administration. He joined Advocates’ Board of Directors in 2007.
