Overview

At Advocates Day Habilitation, adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities spend meaningful days, developing skills as part of a welcoming, supportive community.

At our sites across MetroWest Boston and Central Massachusetts, we provide a wide range of developmental skills training programs, as well as both recreational and therapeutic activities. Each individual’s goals, needs, and objectives are assessed, allowing our trained staff to provide hands-on support within a group setting. Each Day Habilitation site offers nursing and clinical supports, in addition to physical, speech, and occupational therapies.

Individuals spend fulfilling and purposeful days at Day Habilitation. From cooking and gardening to wellness and art, individuals are able to participate in many activities. Our sensory rooms offer space for relaxation, gross motor rooms and gyms include exercise equipment to promote wellness, and outdoor areas offer space to spend time with peers and develop relationships.

Note: In addition to our traditional day habilitation program, we also offer the Choices Day Habilitation program at our location in Ashland. The Choices program is a unique day habilitation program best suited for those individuals who are more independent in their daily activities. The Choices program may provide participants the opportunity to take part in services like Community Based Day Services or Employment Services.

Our day habilitation services are offered at locations in Ashland, Franklin, Millbury, Plainville, and Sterling.
