Overview
Community Based Day Services (CBDS) provides opportunities to experience both vocational and volunteer experiences. These opportunities allow for those participating in CBDS to learn and grow while contributing to their communities. Community Based Day Services is a pathway to employment. At each CBDS site our trained staff support individuals through curriculum-based programming with an emphasis on volunteer or career preparedness, as well as wellness, social skills, and the building of independent living skills.
Volunteer sites are located across Greater Boston, MetroWest Boston, the Greater Attleboro and Taunton region, and Worcester County. Volunteer opportunities may include but are not limited to food pantries; laundry services; Meals on Wheels; indoor and outdoor cleaning services; farm and garden centers; thrift stores and sharing centers; recycling programs; and animal shelters.
