Advocates, a Framingham-based provider of services to individuals facing life challenges, has appointed Diane Schiller of Natick vice president of data analytics.

Schiller has more than 20 years of data analysis and reporting experience in the managed care, pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries.

Most recently, she was director of reporting analysis and interim IT director at MBHP (now Beacon Health Options), which holds the state’s Medicaid contract for behavioral health. She managed a team of 12 analysts and programmers to provide state-required reporting and analyses, and also oversaw the IT infrastructure team.

“She will work closely with our Quality Management and IT Departments, Electronic Health Records team and program leaders to ensure that we have the information we need to manage our large and growing agency, and to achieve our strategic goals, especially in the area of health care reform,” said Diane Gould, president and CEO of Advocates.

Schiller has previous experience working in software and product development, analysis and support systems, and marketing initiatives at several health care information management companies, including PhaseForward in Waltham (now a division of Oracle), ProfSoft Inc. in Needham, the former PHARMetrics in Watertown, McKesson Corp. and several private health plans in New York State and Massachusetts.
